Park City dentist Dr. Venssa Knight (pronounced “Venessa”) is a “native Texan” from Houston, TX, and a graduate of Texas A&M University and Baylor College of Dentistry. She has practiced dentistry full-time for over 20 years with her husband, Dr. Michael Knight.
Over her career, Dr. Venssa has completed a significant number of advanced level classes in dentistry, including the areas cosmetic & reconstructive dentistry, laser dentistry, and occlusion. Dr. Venssa is recognized by many as the premier female dentist in Utah.
Among the numerous classes she has taken, perhaps the most demanding & prestigious was the post-graduate training in advanced dental aesthetics, smile design, and full mouth reconstruction she received from the renowned Hornbrook Group – an accomplishment fewer than 1% of all general dentists in the US have ever achieved.
She is also the only dentist in Park City currently who is member of the prestigious American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD), and is working towards her “Accreditation” status with the AACD. This is a demanding five year process that involves not only written examinations & excellence in her clinical work – but also involves 5 case presentations and oral examination before the Board of the AACD. No other dentist in Utah to date has achieved this honor. She is also a member of the Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Venssa performs most of the restorative (“drill & fill”) work in our practice. With her training and keen eye for detail, she is also the “cosmetic guru” in our practice – handling everything from the treatment planning to the final cementation of crowns/veneers in all major cosmetic and reconstructive cases (along with some assistance from Dr. Mike.)
When not busy with her career, Dr. Venssa is actively involved in the lives of her 3 children – Dylan, Reid, & Caleigh. She also enjoys skiing, hiking, reading, and travel. Dr. Venssa is finally getting the hang of a computer – and simply loves her iPhone! And if that isn’t enough, she is an integral part of Dr. Mike’s professional competition BBQ team, “Hoochie Que” – which was invited to compete in the Jack Daniel’s World BBQ Championship in 2009!
