Pinebrook Dental Group is very proud to announce that Dr. Venssa Knight was recently notified by the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD) that she successfully passed the Accreditation Written Examination while attending the AACD meeting in Dallas back in April. This demanding 4 hour exam covered the topics of dental aesthetics, smile design, dental porcelains & other dental materials, color/shade/dental anatomy, whitening, occlusion (how teeth fit together), dental photography, implants, and periodontal (“gum”/ soft tissue) considerations.
Dr. Venssa will now embark on the 2-3 year process of submitting actual clinical cases for peer review by the Credentialing Committee, and then will complete her AACD Accreditation with an oral examination by the American Board of Cosmetic Dentistry. No other dentist in Utah – male or female – has achieved this honor to date – and Dr. V hopes to become the very first! She is also the only dentist in Park City, UT, who is an active member of the AACD.
